Off–Set Prints 2019
Three illustrations printed offset with a Heidelberg Press, a process like lithography where you print out oiled sheets of metal that is used like a stamp.
• "Moving Up" is a 14x20" four color print with a fountain gradient
My dad is on the border between a hoarder and a toy collector. Despite our family being prone to moving around, he continues to collect vintage objects and toys wherever we live and when we move out, the whole family has to figure out a way to move everything because he refuses to throw anything away. The illustration is a depiction of my family moving and yes, I do have that Astro Boy figurine.
• "Suphan Buri" 14x20" is a two color print
Suphan Buri is a province in Thailand where I was raised. I lived in a bakery shop smacked in the center of the street market so every morning I'd wake up to the sounds of bustling street shoppers and mopeds. The illustration is based off recollected vague memories and Google Maps references.
• "Surf's Up" is a 13x18" two color print
A drawing I did for fun during my surfing phase. The white water always reminded me of clouds so I drew what I imagined it would look like to surf in the sky.
